This was a big shame for the Ellon lads who wanted to build on their successful trip to Orkney for the first game of the season. It was a much need home game to show off to an expected good crowd.
“Although Ellon take the points and move top of the league it would have been much better to have played the game as the team is learning every minute they play together” said coach Gareth Kemp.
This now leaves Ellon away against Highland this Saturday, and Deeside the following Saturday (three away games in a row!). With a different prop absent for each of these games, versatile player Douglas Sharp moves from eight to the front row, to maintain a strong tight five.
