In very wet conditions in Dundee Ellon U15 were certainly up for a battling wet game!

In the first minute, Ellon took advantage of a slow start by Dundee and scored through a great break and run by Archie Falconer, converted by Ben Dickie.
It then took 25 minutes to score again, despite having all the possession and territory. Fin Hagen went on a strong run and made it over the line. Kia claimed the restart and attacked using his leg drive when half tackled to break away and score. Converted by Ben. 0 – 19 at half time.
Some subs at half time and more as the game went on led to a little disruption for Ellon, but they still scored early on in the second half via Archie and Kia Taylor and one conversion to Ben. This gave the score 0 – 31 and Ellon put out the rest of the subs. From here Dundee scored three tries, one through a missed tackle and 2 from scrums and missed tackles. Archie sealed his hattrick to score at the end and put the final score 24 – 36. A great win for Ellon in nasty conditions against a decent Dundee team. Score would have been much higher to Ellon, but Ellon are developing all players as they move forward.
Man of the match goes to Lewis Milne, with support player to Logan Vavangas and Best Rugby Attitude to Fin Hagen, (who was close to Man of the Match).
This win sees Ellon top the table. Other teams have a game in hand, but that would only draw them level with Ellon.
This Saturday, Ellon play Gordonstoun at home, after which is half way in the league.
