League Game #4 - another home win.
This was a difficult one as Mackie could only provide 11 players to start the game.
Coaches agreed to share players to everyone could get a competitive game.
Thanks to Hugh, Harrison, Noah & Eli for stepping up for this.
This meant Mackie forfeited in the game for the league.
So for the team it wasn't about winning or losing it was about how they played the game.
In this regard in the first half there was great rugby on show.
In the second half it was clear both teams would develop from swapping out different players from Ellon to Mackie.
Player development was taken further my moving Ellon players into different positions win their team.
For Ellon this gave more space out wide to Mackie which they exploited to good effect.
Indeed this is where their tries came from and will provide learning for the team in the games ahead.
We had players making their home game day debut, Euan Fraser and Fletcher Starkie.
These players as did the rest of the squad contributed to the whole team performance, well done.
Well Done to Max also for managing a great game in his third runout as Captain.
POTM is always a difficult call when there is so much skill on show, with our established players making great impact into the game.
It was also great to see Angus back on the pitch excelling at scrum half scoring try's and taking conversions.
However, in this case for pure endeavour, effort and quality tackling on his home debut congratulations to Euan Fraser for being POTM.
As always thank-you for the support on the side lines, the squad and coaches really appreciate.
