The first 10 minutes, Ellon played fairly well, matching Gordonstoun in attack and defense. The scrummaging was close with both sides going against the head. However Ellon just were not firing. They lacked aggression and determination. This showed when an easy turn over gave Gordonstoun a simple try. This led over this and the next third to more tries for Gordonstoun, all from mistakes or lack of aggression. However the last third was a different matter. After a stern team talk, the players went out a little stronger. Gordonstoun scored first, however this fired Ellon into attack and using much more aggression and determination they drove over for a Ben Dickie try. Ewen Orus converted from the 15m line to win the final third. However it was too late to change the overall score in the game.
This leaves the final game in the Red Conference against Mackie next Sunday.
