S1 expected an easy game, but soon found out there is no such thing. After the first third it was 0 0 at the break and the boys were a little annoyed. Vice-Captain Logan Vavangas came off with a sore chest after making some great tackles. Woking harder the second third they recorded a try from winger Ben Dickie. Ellon however were trying to use the forwards too much when the space was wide. Their defence was excellent this third, by keeping the Perth attack back, stopping two tries by defending hard on the try line. Ellon countered with Ryan Dickie collecting a loose ball, beating two players and running in a try under the posts, converted by Ewen Orus. The final third saw disruption with an injury to Ellon Full back with a high tackle. Once the subs had been sorted, Perth then attacked hard, but Ellon defence stayed strong and drove Perth back. With a great turn over, Adam Fowlie recovered the ball for Ellon and the backs passed wide to Ben Dickie, who from behind his own try line, ran the length of the pitch to score under the posts. Ewen Orus again converted to finish the game, three tries and two conversions to nil. 0 - 11.
