Wednesday saw the second of three games in a week for Ellon U16. Playing under lights in Banchory, against a strong Deeside team, Ellon were short of backs with Adam Fowlie and Kai Taylor out. In a fairly even match, Deeside found the edge at the breakdown where they turned the ball over and made it extremely hard work for Ellon. This was a National Cup qualifier as well as a League game. Deeside won the game 29-7 however the score didn’t show Ellon determination and effort levels.
This weekend the Youth head to Dundee for a full round of fixtures on the Sunday.
