A strong win in some nasty weather continues Ellon U16 run of wins. Playing into storng winds in the first half Ellon were restricted to 12 point with 2 tries to Reese Melling and a convertion to Ben Dickie. Ellon did very well to hold Highland out as they played well with the wind. Stong tackling and determined running meant Ellon held out. Seocnd half Ellon had the wind and scored first with Kai Taylor scoring on the wing. Highland then scored two lucky tries, breaking the previous three games of Ellon not letting the oposition score. One was an interception try and the other a picked up knock on. Ellon kicked for touch and from the lineout scored via Ben Dickie from the back of a maul. Ellon then played side to side and put Adam Fowlie in as Highland got stretched. These tries were converted by Dickie who kicked exceptionally well in windy conditions.
Soon the heavens opened as well and Ellon did well to continue socring via Lewis Duncan and Stevie Gray, bith converted by Dickie.

Man of the match went to Reese Melling for his two tries, strong tackling and ball carrying. Stevie Gray got support player of the match.
Final score was 45-14, in a game that Ellon would have scored alot more if the weather had been better.

This weekend Ellon should be playign Deeside but game has been postponed at Deesides request and SRU agreement. Will now be played midweek in November.
