CULBLEAN CHALLENGE - Semi-Final, Moray AWAY

For the brilliant and incredibly vocal travelling support at the game we know that there is much that could be talked about, but we will focus on rugby and our squad.

First and fore most we are very glad that Euan and Xavier were discharged from hospital on Sunday with only concussions. They are both on the way to recovery following the RTP protocols, but still off school due to the lingering effects of the concussion.

Although we ended up getting knocked out of the Culblean Challenge by a very aggressive Moray team, we are more than proud of the squad in what they showed on the pitch:-

• Togetherness, Positivity
• Character, Resilience
• Strength & Skill

There are many cliché's in rugby for Sundays game and in this case for Ellon u14s' their rugby was the winner. In the face of great adversity we still played rugby with intent, purpose and respect. There were many key areas that the boys produced great displays of technical rugby skill and pure desire to play as a team:-

• Successful jackals
• Pop plays of the deck
• Secured rucks
• Hard running
• Skilful offloads
• Dominant Tackles
• Back line set play options
• Drop Goal Conversions

From the start to the end of the season the squad have shown real progress and we can't wait for next season to see how they can all push on once again. But before then we will hopefully be able to squeeze in a 15 a side friendly before the Seven's tournaments kick off.

Thank-you again for your support and squad we know that tomatoes are a fruit but we are wise enough not to put them into a fruit salad!
