Ellon had two teams in, team 1 in the experienced bracket and team 2 in the less experienced.

Team one came against Dundee Wasps first and although they were slow starting, so where Wasps so the game was fairly equal. Strong attack play and one key turn over won the game for Ellon 3 - 2. Second match was against Peebles 2 where Ellon really stepped up the tackles and rucking and in a very close game came out winners 3 - 2 again. Next was Biggar in the best game of the day. This ended in a 4 - 4 draw and both teams played their socks off! Good tackles, rucking and turn overs lead to a very exciting game.
Finally Ellon played Peebles 1 which was a totally P7 team. Ellon lost 3 0 but played outstanding rugby against tough, big opposition.
The interaction between Stevie Gray and James Hamilton created a lot of chances while Ben Dickie led by example as always.
Over all it was brilliant rugby and the Ellon coaches were very proud of the lads.
The second Ellon P6/7 team came up against Cartha, Lochaber, Irvine and Peebles. With a less experiences team, the boys really stepped up and playing at this level meant they all could learn in a suitable environment. Great performance by Callum Caven and Julian Kedziora, while Euan Bonner is back after his injury and back on form, tackling like he used too! Final results was two big wins and two close losses with the best game v Irvine winning 6 - 4.
