Ellon P6 travelled to Aberdeen Grammar in their second festival of the season.
Having lost a few weeks training to bad weather the squad were buoyant and eager to play rugby.
Fielding good numbers (18) the coaches were keen to take 2 teams of mixed ability in order to get all the players game time and join together as one squad.
We thank Aberdeen Grammar in allowing 2 Ellon P6 teams to travel and making us feel welcome.
With the teams selected,Ellon Red took to a the field.
A good test for the Ellon team using their training sessions to the full.
Next up before a break Ellon Red took on Grammar whilst Ellon Blue played Deeside.
Both Ellon teams played with great continuity, defence and attack resulting in wins.
After a short break the P6 Red played,Garioch and Ellon Blue played Grammar.
Again both Ellon P6 teams were dominant, rucking was much improved and hard running a bonus.
With Ellon Red sitting out this round Robin, our Blue team took on Garioch in the last game.
Final scores
Ellon Red v Deeside 2-1
Ellon Red v Grammar 7-0
Ellon Blue v Deeside. 4-0
Ellon Red v Garioch 3-3
Ellon Blue v Grammar 7-0

A fantastic day of rugby by our P6 Ellon squad. We have new players who have not played rugby before and I commend their efforts in catching up with players who have played since P1.
This bunch have a great work ethic in all game aspects, they are attentive to Coaches and implement the skills they learn.
This is truly a squad to go on and represent Ellon at Club level.
Well done all and keep up the hard work.
