Ellon U16 beat Aberdeen Wanderers 32-14. First score came straight from kick off when Callum Addy put in a kick which kindly bounced into the on rushing Ryan Notton. Second score from Ellon came from solid phases from forward and backs which gave an overlap for Ryan Notton to get his second. The third was carbon copy from the second with again Ryan Notton scoring in the corner. Wanderers got one back but Ellon their fourth before half time, by you guessed it Ryan Notton, who also had one ruled out. Half time 22-7. The second half was a little bit niggly, with some unfortunate uses of the boot from the opposition. To Ellon's credit they stuck to their task and scored two more tries through Kieran O'Brien and a fine solo effort from Callum Addy who finished the game in the sin bin!!!! Wanderers scored one of their own. A fine all round performance from a young Ellon U16 side with 6 U15s turning out for the team (including man of the match Ryan Notton). Only sour note on the day was a serious injury to new player Robbie Henderson who broke his arm.
