Starting the strongest after a long bus journey down, Ellon scored first after 17 minutes through Adam Fowlie (pictured) and then converted by Ben Dickie. Biggar snapped a try back 5 minutes later, followed by a kicked penalty by Ben Dickie. This led to a half time score of 5-10 to Ellon.
Second half opened up a lot as both teams went harder into attack mode. However both sides also slipped a little in defence. Fraser Chalk scored first for Ellon the a try and conversion to Biggar. Dickie scored both the try and conversion before Biggar scored the next try. This try tit for tat continued as Ellon scored next with Adam Kinmond, replied by Biggar and then Lewis Duncan took the final score and Dickie converted to win the game 22 – 36.
A strong performance by Ellon, talking Biggar’s unbeaten record and showing what the North East has to offer.
