Ellon loose after bossing the game

Ellon started to show their pre christmas form as they bossed their game against Perthshire at Perthshire for all of 75 minutes in what is a 70 minute game, only to see a last play try pull the depths of victory into a gut wrenching defeat.

Ellon scored 3 excellent trys and 1 good penalty and conversion to see their hard work fall at the last hurdle when Perthshire had a tap penalty in the Ellon 22 which they ran over to score.

All credit to the home side for their persistence but the defeat hit the Ellon side hard after they had shown good rucking and scrum play only to fall through a lack of concentration at the end of a good display.
