The coaches and I always tell the lads how important it is for everyone to take the drills learnt in training to the match pitch and perform as well as they can in the roles they have been given. This match against Mackie is proof of how these lads are really starting to understand the game and utilise the skills they are developing as a team.

All of the Lads put in a huge performance and very difficult to single anyone out. Johannes' 5 try's, Some super sniping try's around their try line from Jakey and Oisin and the lads mixing up the attack from crash, space wide and general good handling in the close play, led to us making it virtually impossible for Mackie to turn us over.

Was great to see and a real sign of the lads starting to recognise what is their best options for attack in relation to where they were on the field. I think every one of them made some yardage with ball in hand and some really strong carries.

Unsure if Gregor was robbed of a try in the corner also when the flag went up for touch but I'll let you guys decide from the photos when I upload them shortly. The lads all respected the decision and it was great to see them respect the ref and linesman for this - really important element of the game and great to see.

They really deserved to win this match and they should all remember the great feeling of beating Mackie..... ;-)
