Match Preview

Well this weekend sees Gordonstoun coming to Ellon in what is usually a great game of rugby. A club/school with a similar ethos to us about developing players and playing rugby in the mannor it is supposed to be. They are usually a similar standard to us, which shows as they are pushing Ellon for top spot in the over all club table and at U15!

This game will mark the half way point in the conference (and two week break from games), and Ellon are looking to start the second half in first place in the table! We know there is still a tough second half of the season, with the Mackie fixture being the potential deciders!

The over all club league is important to Ellon Rugby as we look for a place in the Shogun Conference in the next few seasons.

Ellon U15 coaches have selected a strong team with limited subs, in a game we have chosen to perform as high as we can.
Fraser is out for a few weeks after a head bump at Dundee, while Jack Duncan comes in to support the team.
The rest of the team is fairly settled, however players have been picked for their effort and performance of the last two games, training and gym work.

With an 11:00 KO, it is earlier than the usual 13:00, so hopefully the boys will be up for the game.

After the game the boys will be going into Aberdeen for a social 10pin bowling, while the coaches and mums/dads stay in Ellon for their own social!
