while this weekend sees Youth Caley Cup games.

Last Saturday the pitches at Ellon Meadows were not frozen on the surface, but still frozen deep down, meaning the rain water on the surface couldn’t drain. This created a dangerous environment and one that would also damage the pitches badly. All training headed to Deer Park and the beaches again, while the First XV home league game against Deeside and the U18 home Cup game against Aberdeen Wanderers was postponed. The U18 hope to get the game played this Saturday with a 13:00 KO, while the First XV must wait until February 20th for their next game. That will be two months without a game, and the game on February 20th is away to bottom end of the table Stornoway. In what will be an important game for Ellon. Ellon must win against Stornoway away and Shetland at home if they are to stay up.
This weekend is Youth Caledonia Cup weekend! The U18 hope the Caledonia Cup game will go ahead after two postponements. A win sees a home game against Mackie in the next round, a loss sees them drop into the Caledonia Bowl. The U16 play away to Highland in Inverness on Sunday, while U15 play at home to Mackie, both with a 13:00 KO.
S1/2 mix together this Sunday to travel to St Andrews for a morning fixture against Madras. In what should be a close hotly contested game. Both teams needing a run out after a few cancelled matches.
